Nights of Museums at the Labyrinth of Buda Castle

 

Roam with us at night on 18th June in the depth of the Castle Hill with a lantern in your hand, find the musicians playing exotic musical intruments, and you don't have to worry about standing in line on the 19th.

 

Program

Eve (18 June)  

17:00-18:00 Geological and Historical wandering: a guided tour in the caves.

18.00-22.00 Roam with a lantern – While:

19.00-21.00 Voices from the darkness: Find the musicians in inky darkness! 

We will give you the map and the lantern, but you will have to find the path.

Light painting at the Music Labyrinth: Music with no time, all night.

„Where the humans' and gods' forehead nearly meet.”: The Pantheon Budapest debuts.

The tickets bought on 18th June are valid for the next day for all of the locations participating in the Night of Museums, and  are useable  again in the Night Labyrinth (Personal Labyrinth or Labyrinth of Love) until 31st  December 2010.
 
 
 

Easter in the Labyrinth of Buda Castle
 
On 5th April, on Easter Monday, between 5 pm and 7 pm all of our guests may find a surprise! 
 
On Easter Monday the light of 1001 candles glow and change the labyrinth to a magical phenomenon. Visitors may search for the tiny treasures of the labyrinth, holding oil lamps.  

Childish entrance fee for all: 600 HUF/person

Meaning of pantheon: temple dedicated to all gods. The Pantheon in Rome was built as a home for the gods; the Pantheon in Paris was originally also built as a temple; however, was later transformed into the memorial and burial place of great French politicians and writers. There is no dome in the Pantheon in Budapest; it is a bunker, a reinforced cave vault network. There are odds and end, vulnerable objects and useless stuff stored in these bunkers; mortal objects bearing the names of gods as memories and signs, just like human beings are in desperate times.

This night opening ceremony is not recommended for anyone inclined to feel afraid in closed spaces, or feel restless, anxious or sick in darkness or on account of unexpected events.
